Meet Fredrik Esplund, New VP Sales at Elastisys

As Elastisys continues to grow, we are welcoming Fredrik Esplund as Vice President of Sales to lead the expansion of our sales organization from our new Stockholm office.

After nearly 30 years in the industry, including more than 25 years in technology and sales roles at companies such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and VMware, Fredrik brings a long track record of helping organizations adopt modern platforms while still meeting strict security and compliance requirements.

He points to a growing shift in the market. Across Europe, many organizations are increasingly evaluating European alternatives for their tech stack, particularly for systems that are critical to society. Questions around digital sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and long-term control of infrastructure are becoming more central to technology decisions.

“That is where Elastisys, and our application platform Welkin, becomes very interesting to me.”

“Throughout my career I have worked with organizations that need to innovate while still meeting very strict security and compliance requirements. Welkin is a Kubernetes-based application platform built in Sweden with European regulatory compliance at its core, which makes it a very strong fit for those organizations.”

As interest in sovereign and secure application platforms continues to grow, Elastisys is expanding its presence in Stockholm. The new office will play an important role in the company’s continued growth and strengthen relationships with customers and partners across the capital region.

One of Fredrik’s first priorities in his new role is to expand the sales team in Stockholm and strengthen Elastisys’ commercial presence in the region.

“Right now we are recruiting sales representatives in Stockholm. As we continue to grow, we also expect to expand the team with additional roles in sales, customer success, and solution architecture.” 

For Fredrik, the opportunity ahead is clear.

“There is real momentum around sovereign and secure platforms in Europe. Elastisys is very well positioned to support organizations building the next generation of digital services, and I look forward to contributing to that journey.”
