Elastisys will be at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2026, and this year we’re especially proud to have one of our own on stage.

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon is one of the world’s largest and most influential gatherings for the cloud-native community, bringing together developers, engineers, and practitioners from around the globe to explore the latest innovations in open source, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

Our colleague Jakub Krzywda, PhD, Cloud Native Training Manager at Elastisys, will be speaking about one of the most important, and most often overlooked, aspects of building cloud-native systems: non-functional requirements.

In his talk, Jakub will explain why scalability, reliability, automation, observability, and security matter just as much as features. These are the foundations that make applications work in real production environments, not just in demos.

At Elastisys, this way of thinking is central to how we build and teach cloud-native technology for software that society depends on. That is why we are especially happy to see this knowledge shared with the wider community.

Jakub is the Cloud Native Training Manager at Elastisys, as well as a CNCF Ambassador and Kubestronaut. He works with teams across Europe to help them build and run Kubernetes platforms that are stable, secure, and ready for production.

From attending his first KubeCon in 2025 to becoming a CNCF Ambassador and now a KubeCon speaker, Jakub is deeply involved in the cloud-native community, not just using the tools, but helping shape how they are understood and applied.
